Building together, there are many ways to give.Through the generous donations of the many friends of the Allen Gray, special programs, projects and services enhance the quality of life, dignity and independence of residents and clients.

You can contribute in many ways:      In Celebration and Memory Giving: There are many ways to celebrate and honour the life of a loved one; it could be a birthday, anniversary, a special occasion or in memory. A gift through the Allen Gray will celebrate the life of a loved one and benefit the residents and clients of the Allen Gray. When you make a memorial donation, the centre informs the family of your thoughtful gift. All donation amounts remain confidential and are not disclosed in notification letters to families. A tax receipt will be issued to you confirming the details of the donation.

Planned Giving:           This method of giving is the integration of personal, financial, and estate planning concepts that result in higher level gifts, while providing tax benefits to you, the donor. Also referred to as ‘deferred’ giving, examples of planned gifts include life insurance proceeds, charitable remainder trusts, real estate, larger cash and personal property gifts, wills, etc. this is the most sophisticated fund raising method, with proceeds used to provide organizations with future financial stability. The details of a planned gift would be negotiated and outlined in concert with your lawyer and financial advisor.

Donor Recognition : We have a donor wall at the Allen Gray , our categories are:

Pathfinder – over $2500

 Leader     – over $5000    

  Innovator -  over $10,000

Achiever  -  over $50,000 

Benefactor – over $1,000,000. 

Cumulative Giving: When donors provide more than one gift. their cumulative giving will be recognized by placing the donor’s name in the next appropriate category.The donor wall is updated periodically to reflect new gifts and cumulative giving. 

The Allen Gray also has a Resident Comfort Fund,  the Resident Comfort Fund provides the extras that regular funding does not cover.Donors can give directly to this fund, and the donation goes to the Resident Van expenses (fuel, insurance, repairs etc), as well as entertainment, or equipment.
